VMPIM Placements

At V. M. Patel Institute of Management (VMPIM) we believe that education must translate into opportunities. Through our dedicated Training & Placement Cell, we build robust industry-academia linkages and guide our students towards meaningful careers in management and business. We are committed to delivering transparency, consistency and excellence in our placement efforts.

Our Placement Philosophy

  • We foster a culture of preparedness, professionalism and diligence so that our students are “industry-ready” from day one.
  • We partner with corporates across sectors — from FMCG and Banking to Consulting, Analytics and Infrastructure — to create varied roles.
  • We ensure that each eligible student has access to opportunities, while also instilling accountability and integrity throughout the process.

Eligibility & Participation

Students aspiring to participate in campus placements are required to:

  • Maintain the prescribed attendance (academic sessions + industry-events) as defined by the Placement Cell.
  • Register for each company drive through the Placement portal and appear for the selection process. Non-attendance or last-minute withdrawals may lead to forfeiture of opportunities.
  • Keep the Placement Cell informed of any independent job offers or interviews outside the campus process.
  • Once an offer is accepted via the campus process, further participation in placement drives is suspended (unless explicitly permitted).

Placement Process Overview

  1. Students register for campus recruitment drives through the Placement Cell.
  2. Pre-placement talks, industry visits, mock interviews and skill-enhancement workshops are organised to prepare candidates.
  3. Companies visit the campus (or conduct virtual drives). Students clear written tests, group discussions and interviews as per company selection criteria.
  4. Offers are made, and once accepted, students proceed to onboarding & induction processes as mandated by the company.
  5. The Placement Cell records and follows up on offer acceptance, joining formalities and feedback with students and recruiters.

Roles of the Training & Placement Cell

  • Establish and maintain relationships with national & regional recruiters.
  • Conduct training programmes for personality development, communication, interview readiness and aptitude.
  • Facilitate summer internships, projects and corporate mentoring to enhance employability.
  • Provide continuous support and guidance to students until successful onboarding.
  • Maintain alumni‐mentor networks and leverage them for campus recruitment and career growth.

Ethical Conduct & Responsibilities

  • All students must represent themselves truthfully in application forms, interviews and offer negotiations.
  • Unauthorised communication with recruiters, sharing of unverified placement data or mis‐use of placements venturing into multiple offers is strictly prohibited.
  • Acceptance of an offer made through the institute binds the student to comply with the company’s terms of employment.
  • Any violation of policy may lead to disqualification from further placement participation and may attract other disciplinary action.
