Ganpat University – V. M. Patel Institute of Management hosted an insightful online PreSummer Internship Workshop titled 'Tableau for Managers' on June 21, 2024. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Nirav Halavadia, who provided an in-depth exploration of Tableau, a powerful data visualization tool widely used in business analytics. The session aimed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge to effectively leverage Tableau for data-driven decision-making in management roles. Dr. Halavadia began the workshop by introducing the fundamental concepts of data visualization and the importance of using tools like Tableau to present complex data in a comprehensible and actionable manner. He guided students through the basics of Tableau, including navigating the interface, connecting to data sources, and creating various types of visualizations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards.
