The management education is not just about learning theories
from books and remember. Anything which is practiced hands-on gives better
understanding on the applicability part. With the aim of developing the skills
require to perform any role in the field of finance, the student must have to
keep themselves updated and upgraded with the changing landscape of the way
finance field works.
With the said objective, the MoneyBees Finance Club
organized a workshop on the basics of Python as a programming tool for
financial analysis. The resource person for the workshop was Dr Nirav B.
Halvadia, Associate Professor-GUNI-VMPIM, PhD and Executive Programme in Data
Analytics-IIM Indore with more than 13 years of rich experience in academics.
The students learned the basic overview and the utility of Python, which is one
of the heavily used programming languages to conduct data analysis. The
workshop contributed to the understanding about the utility of Python as a data
management, data visualization, research and statistical analysis tool. Total
30 students have benefited from this workshop.
