of Management Studies organized a Webinar on 9th February 2021 on “Organizational
Change" by Mr.
Rajan Sinha (CEO, Mantra Consulting Pvt. Ltd”. Mr. Rajan Sinha is Life & leadership Coach, Trainer
in soft skills and HR processes. Internationally certified FIRO-B, 16PF, DISC,
FACET 5, Sosie, PDA, OPQ32R, Harrison, Hogan (Advanced) assessor and Belbin
team coach. He is a HR consultant with several decades experience in HR,
administration, training & consulting across India, Africa & the Middle
East, where
84 participants participated in the Webinar. The Welcome address was given by the
Professor of Faculty of Management Studies, Dr Dipesh Dasani.
Mr.
Sinha started the Webinar with a poll with a question “How has Govt. of India
handled implementation of farm laws?” .Further which he explained the topic by
giving an pictorial example of decision making. He also mentioned about the
Forbes Article narrating it as ‘Boiled Frog Syndrome’. He also explained the types
of organization change, culture: accepted ways of behaving Intellectual side of
Organization, Key Challenges of Leadership and the qualities of Change Agent. Genesis
of ISRO and how ISRO became the successful organization.
Mr.
Rajan Sinha discussed that “Why employees resist change?” and the line graph
representation of ‘Reactions of Positive Changes for which the individual is
responsible’ and ‘Human Response to Disruptive Changes’
He
also explained PROSCI’s ADKAR MODEL of Change Management by giving five factors
of Change that is Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement.
Perhaps he explained the ‘Hard Side of Change Management’ by giving an
abbreviation called ‘DICE’ which represents Duration, Integrity, Commitment and
Effort. Mr. Sinha shared a ‘Global 2015 study of PROSCI on Best Practices in
Change Management’.
Later
he discussed about ‘Hofstede on Indian Culture’. Mr. Rajan Sinha explicated
‘Mahabharata’ event of ‘Bhishma in Shanti Parv’ where he link Bhishma’s
self-control behaviour with the Change Management. Along with mythology he
articulated Indian Model of Change Management which involves Samarniti
(Strategy), Sanskriti (Culture) and Sashakt Sanrachna (Empowered Structure)
related them with the culture and values. In the further discussion he describe
that how Artificial Intelligence assist the change management especially in
mapping employee emotions particularly when they are operating from diverse
locations, including homes, hotels and business besides regular office campus..
A
Question-Answer session was also conducted in which participants asked various
questions related to the topic with great enthusiasm. All the queries were
taken up by Mr. Rajan Sinha in a very positive and healthy manner. At last
Prof. Dhara Jha extended a vote of thanks to Mr Rajan, the team of panellists
and participants of the day.
