Alumni Online session on the “Digital &
CRM Practices in Agro-Based Industry”

Institute of Management with its aim to impart practical underpinnings of
business domain under its different facets regularly conducts the
student-practitioner connect via various lecture series. Alumni Lecture Series
is one such activity where the existing students will be able to connect with
alumni members and get to know their experiences.
The event
organized on 3rd April 2021 had invited Mr Purvish Shah, Sales
Excellence and CRM Head – India Region, UPL Ltd based at Mumbai, Maharshtra,
India. He is currently leading the India region CRM and digital initiative in
India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Since past 3 years with UPL, he is involved
into various CRM strategies for Agri industry, new initiatives for employees
and farmers into the CRM Space. He handled the All India Adarsh Kisan center
operations and developed farmer digital connect through initiatives like ‘’Live
Chatbot’’. He also worked with MRF Tyres into sales development, ITC Limited
into channel sales for personal care portfolio and Adani Wilmar Ltd into CRM
and Go-To-Market strategy.
Mr Purvish
talked about in detail how the technology based and data driven CRM is
strategic for Agro-based Industries. It is indeed interesting to understand how
the CRM landscape has advanced when it comes to Agri Industry as India is such
an economy which is still dependent hugely on it. The students found the topic
relevant and interesting. The session was concluded with stimulating exchange
of ideas and questions between the speaker and the students.
Ms Nirali
Rathod, Research Scholar, Faculty of Management Studies inaugurated the event.
Dr Hiren Patel, Associate Dean and Principal, VMPIM, Dr Jayesh Patel, Associate
Professor, Dr Rajesh Kiri, Assistant Professor and Ms Dhara Jha, Assistant
Professor empaneled the session. Dr Dipesh Dasani closed it with vote of
thanks.
