A webinar on “Financial Education for Young Investors”under
Global Money Week was organized on 25th March 2021 from 11:00AM-12:30PM. The
resource person was Dr Harsha Jariwala: Financial Education Resource Person:
SEBI- WRO. At present, she is working as an Associate Professor at IES’s
Management College and Research Centre, Bandra, Mumbai. The webinar aimed at
introducing the field of finance and investment for young students who will
soon be actively involved in investment with disposal income at their side
after completion of MBA. The speaker introduced various instruments of the
financial market where as a beginner the investment can be made, the avenues of
investment in the digital age, the precautions to be taken while investing and
how to plan for different needs of finance. Around 80 participants took the
benefit of this webinar from VMPIM. The session concluded with a rigorous
discussion and question answer session from students with the speaker.
